Anger redux

 THIS JUST IN...
Someone apparently intercepted Randy’s descending towel!

Randy Credico at 1:02 am:
I will be on inside City Hall [NY 1]with errol Louis calling for the ny attorney general and  state controller to do a thorough audit of the books at WBAI it's time to bring this corruption to an end...i am not going away... the national board must get rid of these two vile and uneanted grifters..dont make the state have to act on behalf of the burned listeners and donors.

  1. If anyone is persuaded to do a forensic audit of these folks (which I doubt) I think we can safely assume they're in The Shits.

Of course in so very many other ways they've long been there.

  2. Haskins announced that another fund drive will start in December. Soon, they will be continuous, and WBAI will be a radio version of the Home Shopping Network for racists and lunatics.

    1. I heard him say that, and I have a tendency to agree with you regarding the future continued nature of WBAI. Unless, of course, it cannot come out of its present nosedive.

    2. Mark your calendars. Latest fund drive schedule. Checking the calendar, December is an annual event.

"annual December fundraiser from Monday, December 4th through Sunday December 17th.

Looking forward to February, our fund drive will begin on Monday, January 29th our planned end date is Friday March, 2nd. We have begun building themes for our black history month fund drive. Below are a few of the ideas we've come up with, but we need WBAI producer input to broaden our reach to New York constituencies."

    3. Perhaps they will announce a non-fundraising hour and fifteen minutes during the third week of every month.

    4. No change to the programming or operations or outreach but when it comes to fundraisers suddenly its a well-oiled machine with planning months in advance. Why not? At this point the fundraising programming is better than the regular schedule.

  3. I thought Randy decided to move on after a good night's rest. Perhaps he slept on the wrong side of the bed. Maybe he had a nightmare involving endless fundraisers. Perhaps NY1 had a cancellation and booked Randy instead. Stay tuned for the next edition of As WBAI Turns.

    1. I guess his towel was tethered, so he pulled it back up. :)

The real shame is there isn't a journalism (or better yet drama) student embedded at the station to document the characters and drama behind the scenes.
I heard the "Weiner" movie was compelling, this mess, with some good editing, could be entertaining.
Looks like Credico is auditioning for the production.

Remember "The Caine Mutiny"? There is a scene where the ship's officers decide to talk to Admiral Halsey about their situation. They board the big carrier, observe hundreds of sailors doing exercises and realize it's absurd to think Halsey has time to deal with their little destroyer and it's crew's issues when there is a big war to fight.
Why would the AG of a Democrat state spend time sniffing for stink in an appendix of the left wing?
Maybe Credico got wind of a "Caine" remake and is auditioning for this scene?

    1. What happened to the d*n strawberries uh I mean premiums? I demand an investigation.
SDL you're in charge. I want a report by 0800 hours.

    2. Actually, we're not hearing much about the premiums' problem these days, are we? Maybe all the recent antics are being used to bury it?

    3. The premium problem was real..... the premiums were not.

  5. I'd hate to be the person taking Credico's order at a Chinese take-out. I can see him doing the "Ill have this... No, wait... Scrap that and give me that... No, I think I'll have the other thing... No... Give me one of those and one of the other..."

Credico's credibility is going down and further down with this. He's coming off like Ross Perot now.

So, when is inside City Hall supposed to be on? I got rid of my cable TV several years ago when I finally got fed up with all the commercials and extendomercials. If anyone sees this episode, do report back on any highlights & lowlives. Actually, if Credico does indeed make his threatened appearance, shouldn't Inside City Hall invite a representative of WBAI to participate in all fairness?

RPM mentioned a December beg-a-thon, so I'm not surprised. Get ready for more pseudo-history, conspiracies, Stuff and other related nonsense. I guess the last beg-a-thon did so well. Maybe Pacifica just wants WBAI to suck as much money out of The Remnants as is possible before getting ditched?

    1. Ross Parrot?

I see it as him emulating the moron in the White House.

I also got rid of cable TV, ages ago. Let's hope someone catches it and shares.

    2. Remember a while back there was a woman named Hufsnagel (or something like that) on the Pacifica Radio Waves list making all sorts of claims about WBAI and going to the authorities? Credico is going to be the next such wacko.

As for emulating Trumpty Dumpty, Credico seems to be doing that with his social media posts.

Come to think of it, Credico does sound like a parrot...

    2. Randy is with KPFA now. Interesting. There were a couple of mentions of his show in the present tense. It looks like he's going to take a stand for journalists. The story is whether he is the link to Stone and if he has anything to say about Assange that isnt already known. Otherwise it will be just a nice chat.

    3. HHe refers to Stone as "an old friend" and claims to have had lunch with Assange. My feeling is that he exaggerated the extent of his association with these people and may, therefore, be backing out of appearing at the hearing.

I may be all wrong on this, but I think it's clear that Credico is trying yet another approach to feign importance. He has persistent elbows and I think he does not at all like the fact that he was out-elbowed by opportunist Bates and that Reimers didn't buy his Mike Wallace impersonation.

He was heard on KPFA, but he isn't actually there, as far as I know. I found it interesting that he romances NY1, which is owned by Spectrum, a company that has its worker striking. I regard Spectrum as the most customer hostile corporation around these days. It has a monopoly on internet connection in my part of NYC. If it weren't for that, I would not spend a penny on them, but Randy Credico's number one priority is Randy Credico.

    4. Good point about Credico appearing on NY1 owned by Spectrum. This just proves even more how full of shit Credico is - no problems working under a "sexual harasser" and appearing on a corporate TV station.

Credico is a nobody who wants so hard to be someone. I'll give credito to him for having been pretty funny lately, probably for the first time in his life.

    5. Credico knows Roger Stone since 2003, when they worked together on the Tom Golisano campaign. He was also on Stone's Anti-Prohibition Party ticket, which was an attempt to elect Carl Paladino by splitting the Democratic vote. Credico was in London and visited the Ecuadorean embassy at the very same time that Stone said his backchannel was in London to get information on the Podesta emails from Julian Assange. Credico has openly said that Stone gave his name to the House Intelligence Committee as his backchannel, though he has been blessed with a series of sympathetic, if not sycophantic, interviewers who have not pressed him on this - letting him answer that he has no idea why the HIC is interested in him, that it must be part of some general campaign against Assange.

Credico cares nothing about sexual assault or sexual harassment - on numerous occasions he would attack Laura Poitras, who reported on the alleged sexual assaults of Julian Assange and Jacob Appelbaum, goad on Assange's lawyers who wanted to prevent Poitras's movie from being shown, and would say that Poitras "betrayed" Wikileaks because of her reporting.

Credico is an opportunist, who never got the fame he felt he earned in comedy, and now attempted to achieve greater renown as an activist - though he may end up being best known for an infamous deed, of helping to elect Trump. Yes: "Randy Credico's number one priority is Randy Credico."
