    1. Yes, Berthold Reimers is not one to rest on his laurels!

  2. Chris,

What happened to the two MBAs in Finance and the CPA- as per Steve Brown.

Let us hope that he obtains a position working in the White House.

What about Andrea Katz on LinkedIn.

    Thank you. Ed Manfredonia

Don’t tell me the White House is looking for another moron.

  5. since all of the previous comments, descriptions and criticisms here, it is almost funny to see his 1st fancy line claiming to be a business expert and on 'strategy'.... words that don't fit to what else others have clearly been sayin here... hmmm

Proof is in the results and appreciations of all who have worked for/with him and the organizations' success & development...which is ?

    1. Evidence of accomplishments is as hard to find as he, himself was when WBAI needed direction or someone had a solution to propose. Berthold Reimers was the invisible man, but not as "disappeared" as most people wanted him to be. Now, perhaps, there is hope of his departure, but the rubble he created is beyond restoration.

  6. It's a very weak, poorly presented resume and pitch, though I think we can safely assume he doesn't realize that – anyone on the receiving end of resumes for any worthwhile position will discard his on the first pass.

      I think not.

  7. Anyone notice how few premiums are being offered this beg-a-thon? It seems like three or four of them are taking up most of the air time. I wonder, if they burned so many other distributors that they can't offer many others.

You'd think with all the bullshit conspiracy crap on WBAI, they'd play Dave Emory's show, which has a loyal following. I think it's available for free.

    1. They are pushing to death the Brady/Bates weather scam and there's an old Null commercial that pops up a lot (with Bates, of course). Blosdale also has one that keeps popping up.

I have also noticed a repeats of out-and-out commercial spots for non-WBAI-non gratis events, such as the Amos and Andy play, "Kingfish". Some silly shows don't even make a mention of the fund raising, and Dingeman has a spot running to promote a CAB meeting where the ESB "dispute" and a new fund-raising committee will be discussed. I guess time stands still for these stuck-in-a-groove deniers of reality.

So, it would appear that Reimers wasn't a perennial no-show at WBAI because he has another job—it was more likely that he was out there trying to GET a new job. Anyone dumb enough to hire him deserves the baggage he limps along with.

I am not familiar with the Dave Emory show, but when it comes to fabricating conspiracy, I think idiots Brady and Bates would be hard to top. Why hasn't Bill Crosier stopped their irresponsible scam?

    2. Well, now, Andy... Ya sees, this Dave Emory fella be a left wing conspiratologist whose premises is that The Third Reich never died but evolved into The Fourth Reich of escaped Nazis, capitalists, right wing dictatorials, Vatican, secret lodges and other sundried helpers. Every thing that has been doing since the 1945 is because this fascist international underground.

    3. How enlightening. As I recall, Kingfish's number one priority was to to come up with a money scheme, so I can see how the BAI bozos must identify with him. Of course, his various schemes never worked out, so there, again, we see common ground.

The BAI schemers are the new Uncle Toms and they are probably more embarrassing to intelligent black people than to whites. As evidenced by the nonsense these nitwits spew on WBAI, they inadvertently conjure up a return to less enlightened times. The plug really needs to be pulled even if the lack of listenership makes such a move symbolic.

    4. Chris, I would put the Kingfish at a much higher level than Reimers. Kingfish never made a profit on his stupid ideas, but he didn't lose money that often, either. Reimers and his stupid ideas are all money losers, like $10,000 for Yellow Magnet, etc. So, Kingfish would be a better GM than Reimers.

    5. You're right... Kingfish gets my vote. Of course he is dead, but so, for all intents and purposes, is the accountant whose resumé doesn't add up. :)

  8. Perhaps one of the very few positives of WBAI’s existence for these last years has been the simple fact that with a signal reaching out to twenty million, and a very substantial black population of several millions within that signal’s reach, their atavistic racism has had very nearly zero appeal. Racism is still and will still, sadly, likely indefinitely, play a role in human society, but the self-destructive hatefulness they peddle and promote has found no traction in the black community – which may well speak to the fact that, difficult though it may be at times, some progress has been made.

Let us hope, the likes of WBAI/Pacifica aside, there is yet more to be made.

As for WBAI/Pacifica, as the accidental end-of-the-world emergency broadcast alert message NORAD sent out long ago during the cold war once read:

    ‘The message authenticator is HATEFULNESS.’

I will look for a way to bring it out from the depths.

    2. Thanks for the compliment. That said, and with respect, I’d encourage you to do so, and bring your personal perspective, experience, and considerable eloquence to bear on the issue, as you have, forcefully, at many points, though I recognize full well that, at least for me, the first impulse when faced with such vile hatred, from any source, is to lash out and rip off a head or two.

It’s deserved, for the particular person or persons, but the broader point as to the failure of the hatred encouraged by this vile scum to find any actual audience, is perhaps the one truly important point at this point in time.

Their loathsomeness speaks for itself, as does its failure to find any resonance in their claimed ‘community.’

Let it be their epitaph as they shuffle off to nothingness or near-enough to nothingness not to matter.

  11. WBAI is missing an opportunity here. An honest discussion of relief efforts in Puerto Rico and Texas which includes KPFT would do more for the station than all those stupid premiums put together. To their credit, they did post a list of charities on their website.

    1. WBAI misses many opportunities each day—there is no coordination of their (Bates') scheduling, no overview, so It's helter skelter seemingly based entirely on which infomercial has been getting calls. That boils it down to a handful getting repeated over and over again, and I don't hear any conversation about the details of this emergency. Much air time is totally wasted on shallow shows by shallow people.

The outrageous Geoff Brady conspiracy show is focused on an immediate, highly embroidered threat (they call it "climate warfare" that at one point gives the earth no more than ten years before it is totally destructed. Then they ask for money to keep WBAI on the air, as if that is going to make any positive difference! These are scumbag scammers egged on by artificially alarmed nut who sell the station self-published books and DVDs containing their fantasies. Here, and in the parallel case of the everything-is-African loonies, Bates joins in with his own deceits, inflating the lies instead of questioning them.

It is an utterly shameless game played on what is left of the WBAI listenership. I'll say it again and again, people like Bates, Brady and the facilitator, Reimers, belong in prison.

As for Puerto Rico, these con people at WBAI are merely doing the politically correct thing by throwing into their sordid mix the charity contacts. WBAI should be closed down and put into the hands of responsible, intelligent people.

    2. I disagree about Brady. I think he is in need of medical attention, not prison, as it's obvious he's a loon.

Bates is a scam artist of the worst sort. However, you also need to place blame on The Remnants, since they are buying this crap. Without these amazingly stupid people, WBAI would have been gone already.

Reimers goes without needing to say anything.

    3. You might well be right. Brady is dense, Bates is a calculated deceiver.

That said, Brady must have at least have an inkling. Having an open mind is commendable, using it as a dumpster is not.

Yes, the remnants must bear some of the blame for all this, but I guess some may be in need of a masochistic experience—the pain of listening to WBAI, the delightful torture of a Bates/Brady bamboozle.

I wonder if WBAI has considered taking food stamps? :)

    4. I think Brady is totally psychotic and believes his own canard. I don't base that solely on the premiums he's offered but on his history. I DO think he's pissed about the Zapper/organite premium being pulled, which is where Bates comes in.

Bates is also pissed that the Zapper/organite premium was pulled (I think an affront to his ego, mainly, as it was his choice and it made some money), so he's using Brady as a tool for revenge. Notice how in the weather premium Bates goes on about the "boards" having pulled it, etc? Brady is just a useful idiot.

As for The Remnants and masochism. The White Like Me premium is obviously aimed at white people, however, since they barely have a white audience anymore, who's buying it? The white folks had enough of rolling in their masochism a while back and left WBAI in droves.

Anyway, if you feel like some masochism, here's White Like Me for free on youtube. Yes, Chris, for free...

    5. I was only joking re the masochism—this whole thing has become so stupid that it's difficult for me to take anything they do seriously.

I think you are absolutely right when you bring up Brady's annoyance at having been zapped. At one point in the "climate warfare" infomercial, he imagines all kinds of interference being made to his efforts. You recall him saying that he had experienced "federal" interference—Bates does a quick "wow" but does not seem curious as to what the government did. I guess you also heard Bates talk about the Smithsonian's practice of hiding facts from the public! What's really crazy is that these pathological liars don't seem to realize how looney tunes they sound to anyone not in a coma.

    1. I'm afraid they're far too ignorant to "fix" their racist mindset—they don't even recognize that it it harbored in their near-vacant cranial cavities.

Makes me believe this ongoing stupidity that they think is essential and cutting edge ,
is being done intentionally to bring the station to irrelevancy.

“It's a very weak, poorly presented resume and pitch...anyone on the receiving end...will discard his on the first pass”l

Knowing he oversaw the pitching of the Zapper, I share indigo’s being non-plussed by this attempt to hurl a no hitter over home plate.

Is there no one??...I ask, no one? within 5 sister stations of Pacifica who could help him pad his resume??
