Some things take time...

Today, Tuesday the 13th, Reimers will broadcast a live report. Will he finally unveil that master plan?

    1. Hail Emperor SDL Archduke of Queens. With SDL on the throne, we can start fresh. May I request His Imperial Majesty please begin by exiling Reimers and Bates. Don't just fire them. Throw them out and toss their belongings out the window. Get rid of that pile of zappers and implant killers while you're at it. Ban them from the station along with Brady. Ban them from the Commons. Ban them from Atlantic Ave. Throw the bums out.

    2. I'd ban them all from even listening to radio, let alone being at a station.

  2. Wouldn't it be rich the Feds bring a RICO indictment? Or better yet, an update on the "Producers" flim-flam radio station, talks high ideals takes your money and expects donors to be silent. Pacifica exceptionalism.

  3. The "Producer's" theory is quite apt. The programming is so awful that no one is surprised at the fact that WBAI's finances are abysmal. Therefore, no one bothers to check if Reimers is siphoning off money, because they expect WBAI to be drowing in red ink.

  4. With Reimers own set of QuickBooks, and Sam cutting checks to himself, no one is fiscally responsible. Malfeasance? Felonies? Future On the Count producers?

  5. I listened to the Report to the Remnants earlier, and I actually found it interesting, albeit for the wrong reasons, probably.

Reimers trying to put a good face on a failure of a fund drive, Bates letting us all know how great a radio man he is and Katz making a live appearance to justify her salary, yet offering bullshit ideas. And, no, I don't believe her figures for the art auction are real.

The really good part was the call-in segment. This time, the natives were restless and letting Bates have it. You could hear him burning up. But when Tony Ryan came on and slammed Bates for being rude to the one caller, I was actually shocked. Trouble in paradise? Will Sledgey save the day?
