Mumbling solutions... or not

With Tom Livingston, Pacifica’s iED, presumably speaking from his digs a bit downslope and a bit south and west of Gilman, we have a glimpse as to the quality of his thought, guidance, and leadership.

As well as to the quality of thought, insight, and analysis of the members of Pacifica’s Strategic Planning Committee.

Judge for yourself :)

And here, for the sake of completeness and.... uh.... full exposure, is the meeting in its bare entirety:

  1. He doesnt sound like the iED. He sounds like some consultant just starting a new assignment. I'm starting to wonder if he is just going to be a placeholder while his firm looks for a permanent ED. That will be difficult because no one in their right mind would want the job as it is right now. By now, he really should have a handle on the organization and be starting the process of changing what he can on his own and making recommendations to the PNB. There just doesnt seem to be any urgency for change.

  2. Tom Livingston is incredible, unbelievable. It would be hard to recommend him to highly. No one would be better than he.

He asks, "What's the activity we want to undertake?" Now I get it. He is not looking to hire a permanent ED, he is looking to hire an undertaker.

The grave's a fine and private place, but none I think do there embrace.

  3. Jeez, what a worthless talk fest. I was waiting for someone to go on an existential journey about the meaning of him/herself in relation to Pacifica's place in the universe...
