SPILLED MILK?

Any theories out there?

  1. Here's a theory:

Livingston was recommended for the iED job by Marc Hand, the guy who's working to get the "big" loan for Pacifica. Hand, I suspect, will get a nice commission for his work getting that loan for the insolvent Pacifica. I suspect Livingston and Hand have worked together before and hope to do so in the future. I suspect Livingston would like to help his buddy close the deal on the loan. It sure seems like a conflict of interest when a vendor - Hand - who is selling a product to Pacifica - the loan - on which he will make some serious money - recommends his friend to head the organization that will oversee the loan transaction. But Pacifica is no stranger to conflict of interests if it serves them. I expect both Livingston and Hand care more about their relationship with each other going forward than their relationship with Pacifica, which neither expects to last very long. I expect Livingston is just going to work the board, do what he's told as long as it's legal, in exchange for his six months @ $10k or $11k per month. The board majority is so incompetent they have no idea what someone competent should even be doing so they won't notice if he just strings them along for six months.

One can hear on the audit committee meetings, which recently started up again after an eight month absence, that Grace Aaron has it in for Sam Agarwal. Will Livingston be Grace's hatchet man to push him out?

So there are a couple of theories.

    2. I don't understand the opposition to Agarwal. Is he going to be punished for telling the truth? The numbers don't add up and there is no propect of change anytime soon. Of course he is going to consider bankruptcy. That's his job. Meanwhile they're criticizing him for the lack of audits when the inept managers don't give him the data or the money or the people he needs.

From the outside, it seems like Livingston appeared just when people turned on Crosier. He comes in with questions. He needs to show up and present his plans or it will just feed into the conspiracy theories that he is just minding the store while backroom deals continue to be hatched behind the scenes.

    3. You could say Pacifica is getting a "Hand" job.

    1. The dairy industry will soon realize that only nearest of kin and, possibly, the Law will want to find them.

  3. I turned on WBAI for one of my rare checking in times and am hearing some shit about mind movies and... well... I dunno what. Bates can really dig, eh?

Imagine if they sold something honest, like a speed reading course or an improve your English course? No, The Remnants wouldn't be interested.

Bates must be so proud of running a failure of a home shopping station.

  4. Joy Degrue giving us the "tools" to move forward.
What a fucking joke ! How, by stirring the pot .
All this does is make some blacks hate whites more
and whites become more resentful , because they had nothing to do with any of this.
It's useless garbage. Degrue probably making a nice buck off it though i'm sure.

    1. For a long time, WBAI, especially during fund drives, has been about stoking and wallowing in outrage (justified or not), rather than offering solutions

    2. From the first time I heard of it, I saw this so-called "syndrome" as yet another opportunist's divisive gimmick; hearing Degrue deliver her lengthy, shameless pitch convinced me that my assessment was correct.

You are spot on when you point out the negative aspect of this sort of thing. The "make it black" bozos are so out of touch with reality—all that matters to them is to keep their worthless shows on the air and milk the station's drastically reduced listenership for more money. These Pacifica con artists have no morals—many of them belong behind bars, none of them belong in broadcasting.

  5. Catching up on some shows, I listened to last week's OTH. Wow! Steven Rambam gave it to Manny and the hacker "community," didn't he? On his twitter he also slammed WBAI. I don't think we'll be hearing him on OTH anymore, sadly.

    1. SDL,
You are assuming that someone is listening.

  6. There are a number of people who should be on that milk carton - the list is long including Tony Ryan, Berthold Reimers and Dred Scott Keyes - house of thieves - sending prayers everyday for the demise of WBAI - truly evil place!
