New studio facilities?

The fact that no photo or drawing of WBAI's new Atlantic Avenue "studio" has been made available by "management", we have had only Jim Freund's early. murky snapshot to go by. Reimers' apologist-in-chief, Mitch Cohen, claims that construction is underway, but fails to explain how such work is being done silently while passing police sirens and Mr. Softee's chimes are heard with greater clarity than a Bob Fass mumble. About a year ago, they told us that architectural designs had been commissioned, but none have been seen.

All this has inspired jokes and triggered fantasies as to the look of WBAI's new studios and editing cubicles, including this one, submitted to our blog anonymously (and slightly customized by yours truly).

Does this image relate to what you hear on WBAI's air?

  1. Is it impossible for some enterprising souls to slip past WBAI's top notch security at the front door and take some pics so we can post them here?

    1. I suppose one could visit the alleged roof garden and aim one's camera into the skylight. Better still write a book about "America's pastime", lynching, and how it is becoming prevalent at leading universities, often by fundraising white Carmelite nuns. This will get you repeated guest shots on Haskins' morning mess—bring a hidden camera. :)

    2. Maybe Emanuel Godstein can get Steve Rambam to come in and surreptitiously photograph the joint.

    3. It would not surprise me if an order was issued from under Reimers' desk.... or it could simply be a case of CE (Communiy Embarrassment). :)

  2. Listening to the PNB Personnel Committee... seems most of the members of the committee are incapable of comprehending the challenges involved in using Dropbox. It's very... complicated... and... difficult....

  3. Were Lynne Samuels still around, she'd no doubt be describing these new "cubicles" on-air, and claiming that they're located in Flushing...

  4. Goldstein is too busy kissing Reimer's ass these days. Besides, if Rambam came back, I wonder if Reimers would go all Mordechai Levy on him, go to the roof and start sniping down at the street.

These clowns aren't getting any studio done. They can't even get phone lines installed. They are "kids playing radio," (and politics) even more so than how pirate radio operators used to be called that. I already showed you better pirate set-ups, anyway, that probably cost a few thousand Dollars if that.

When rolling around the dial the other night I came across Fass and another tech mess up that made me laugh. He had a line like "Everything is under control" which kept repeating itself. What an irony.

    1. I heard the 20-minute opening loop-de-ludicrous with which the reading of call letters was introduced. Yes, the Bob Fass "under control" claim that wouldn't die was ironic—it brought to my mind Nixon's "I am not a crook!" assertion, which, of course, also proved to be false.

Apropos repetitive rants, how many times have we been told that a working, multi-phone system will be in place "next week"? Even Goldstein and people with a modicum of intelligence continue to be fooled by the mumbling HATEian with the fantasy resumé.

I am told that Mimi and Mike didn't miss a step as they did the old "Reparations Rag" and Kathy the interstellar vibist continued to perform the Cakewalk as if the world around her were real. Did Null, perchance, come up with a new formula—a Pacifica reverse version of the Sodium Pentagon stuff Geoff Brady's Reptilians are said to have been sprinkling on D.C.'s houses of governance?

  5. Mordechai Levy is totally insane. He kicked a 12 year old boy in the testicles. How does such a smart guy as Steve Rambam get involved with such a mishugana as Mordechai Levy? I wish Emanuel would ask him next time.

  6. Actually, Rambam/Rombom is an extreme Zionist. The JDL had their splinter group split-offs doing the "I'm more radical that you" bit, like the Palestinians had the same thing happen in the 1970s. I used to like how the splinter Palestinians used to use the name of the original group and add a suffix, Like PFLP-General Command, El Hijo del PFLP- General Command, etc.

Another insane one in the vein of Levy is Victor Vancier, who used to have a public access cable show that, oddly enough, was aimed more at insulting Jews than anything.

The history of the extremist American Zionist underground is interesting.

Related note? Legendary hacker Kevin Mitnick was involved in the JDL via an uncle of his. When Mitnick was caught there was a quickly dropped accusation of him sharing information with an Israeli hacker, who was supposed Mossad. No idea if there is truth to it, but it seemed to never be investigated.

    Gotta love political extremist in-fighting...
