  2. I would answer this way--there are lots of critics of BAI, lots who point, correctly, to programming as the root of its slide. The problem is that we are on the outside looking in. We can complain, but have no organized group to demand change. Organizing such a group would be more effective that shooting from the sideline. Add to that that there is no clear structure to appeal to--the decisions appear to be made (and maintained) amorphously--how would such a group even gain a hearing? I think they would just have to use the "power of the mob" not in any violent way, mind you, but to demand a meeting/sit down with whoever makes decisions and demand a forum to have their grievances heard, debated, and then voted on , and then carried out. Pick some initials--form a group--make sure you are on roughly the same page--and demand a meeting with the ED and BAI management.

  3. Too many immigrants on WBAI -Murillo, Marksman, Reimers - too many immigrants have been allowed on WBAI to run the station and they have run it into the ground. Trump is right - they need to close the border!!!

    1. I ran the statio and I was an immigrant. Coming from another country is no a problem, per se, but it's not a good idea to put in charge people who are velcroed to their origins, if you get what I'm saying. One has to have an open mind and keep in it the fact that WBAI was not conceived as a voice for one or two ethnic groups, but rather for a diverse group who have in common something called intellect and an abiding desire to feed it.

  4. I agree , It has nothing to do with being an immigrant . It is a mind set problem . It doesn't matter what color you are , or where you are from . It has more to do with what you have to say and if it stimulate's thought and maybe get some new idea's about things , or look at things from a new perpective .
Their idea of a new perpective is looking at black and brown people's problems/struggle/history/whining , whatevery you want to call it from every different angle humanly possible . That's their idea of diversity , as sad as that sounds .
