Berthold you so...

Is Reimers trying to inject color into the 33 year old "Personal Computer Show"? Is he attempting to discourage the old crew? Is he retaliating for host Hank Kee's repeated airing of complaints against the mishandling of "premiums"? Am I being overly mistrusting of Reimers' motive?

Listen to these two excerpts from yesterday's show and tell us what you think.

These sound bites, taken from the archived show, are low in audio quality, even for WBAI, but they may serve as a flickering light under the manager's desk.

  1. Listen, Reimers wants TPCS gone, but he needs an excuse. He's trying the "you don't earn money" bit, which only applies to TPCS and not the likes of Sargent, Dancy, Fass and all the others who earn nothing. Now he's trying to work someone new into the show for racial, gender and ageist reasons. I wonder if Reimers expects to use that person (or lack of one) as an excuse some how to dump TPCS.

I guess Reimers doesn't like the Reimers Roast segment on every episode. Also, I really wonder what Hank told Proffitt, as it seems that harassment against TPCS has increased since that. I don't predict a long life for TPCS, broadcasting from that cubicle with a door...

Also, it was nice to hear a break, for once, on OTH from the Reimers ass kissing they made a weekly feature for their ever more boring program. They sound like they simply ran out of ideas and energy, as the Steve Rambam classic episode was the last truly good one.

    1. How do you think people get into and out of the sound closet? Climbing through the large gap between the soundproofing and the ceiling? (The image of "Cake" Davis doing that just made me snort my coffee.)

    2. I understand there's a skylight, so I imagine they are lowered down from the roof.

    3. I posted a serious idea on how to help WBAI over at RPM's list a few minutes ago. I am serious and will be sending the six coffee cans with a slit cut in the plastic covers when I have them all ready.

  2. Someone hacked into my e-mail account. Hmm...Maybe it's payback for what my white forebears did in 1854--when they were living in Sicily and Normandy. I don't have any money and don't own much of anything, so they have to get revenge, I mean reparations, in whatever way they can.

I guess the fact that my computer is black doesn't matter.

  3. Maybe Bob Vila is doing pro bono work for public stations and can come in and fix this joint.
