    1. I am trying to get the details, but it appeared that he quit after a serious run-in with Tony Bates and Reimers. Null is said to have spoken about this on his own online show, but it may have been deleted from the archive.

Don't be surprised if these flip-flopping opponents kiss and make up... again.

  4. I'm the person who posted that Gary Null had gone off on a rant saying that he and WBAI were done with one another. Most of his statement/tirade was done using Utrice Leid's time. This happened on Monday, March 20th.

Null definitely had all of this edited out from Leid's podcast.

Null mentioned that his show had been removed from 'BAI because the station had not honored his premiums, by sending them out... an old argument. He also claimed to be responsible for more than half of the station's donations, and claimed to have kept all of Pacifica afloat, single-handedly and for no salary.

The delusions and narcissism in all of this are multi-faceted, and very sad, in light of what WBAI and Pacifica once were.

    1. Thank you for bringing this into focus, Kim.

The fact that he had his comments redacted is illuminating.

    2. Interesting that the audio is edited out, as Null usually likes to talk as much as possible of his troubles with Reimers, before they kiss and make up.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but last drive didn't Null say his office was packing and mailing the premiums? I thought I heard that.

No matter, there's a PNB shindig tonight (or is that Cereneathon?) where this may be brought up.

I do also tend to agree with you, Chris, that Bates may be bucking for Reimers seat. He already has one salaried job as a consultant and one made up title (another salary?). Why not just go for GM? Maybe he knows something about Reimers job life expectancy we don't.

    3. There is more than a bit of Trump In Gary Null.

Yes, Null makes up things for his own hypology—the premium story is a weave of lies, with a little truth thrown in for plausibility.

    4. What in pro wrestling is called a "worked shoot," which is some real facts thrown in with the story line, so it seems real.

    5. It's a common ploy at today's WBAI, where fake news is delivered to a fake listenership.

    1. I did not know Samori Marksman, but I have heard both good and bad from people who did. So, I am without a personal opinion, but other here might give their impressions.

    2. He should have been aborted.

  6. Samori liked to humiliate people, therefore his death is celebrated by some ex-producers today. We are gathering at a local watering hole to raise a pint to celebrate his death.

  7. Chris,

Did Berthold Reimers speak at last night's WBAI Local Station Board meeting. If Reimers spoke, what did he say?

    1. If there was a meeting last night, I missed it. Reimers may show up at tonight's teleconference, which I will record and post.
