When push gets shoved....

BERTHOLD REIMERS EXCLUDES NULL ENTERPRISES FROM PARTICIPATION IN THE NEW WBAI DISASTER
Gary Null's recently announced furniture auction does not seem to have had a follow-up. Did he manage to sell that dining room table and chairs that graced his apartment? What was the high bid? Did it inspire Berthold Reimers?

Well, speculation runs high, but here's a picture that might be telling us a thousand words. It looks a lot like recent WBAI fundraising efforts, perhaps it portends what's to come as we near the eve of the latest infomercial-a-thon.

  1. I love that pic!

I still say that the drop in beg-a-thon sales since Null was stopped from hawking his crap shows us that Null was less important than people thought. Look at what they did with and without him. I'm figuring about a 30% drop. If WBAI weren't so damn awful, they should have been able to make it up with other items.

I was thinking that if the BAI Buddy membership is actually below 6,000, as I have heard, they are really driving away listeners more than ever. Take into account how many promos they air for it and how it's dropping.

I know it's redundant, but people just don't want to hear the crap on WBAI. What is worse is that obviously the mentality that people would use that it's better to support it no matter how awful it gets rather than see it disappear is fading fast.

And, for more redundancy, once again management shows that they have no faith in their programming that they have to rely on extendomercials to sell hocus pocus, snake oil and conspiracies. Management puts garbage, like The Blacks, Halper, etc., on the air without even believing they will get a paying listenership. Think about how that is essentially saying that so much of WBAI's programming is just filler material between beg-a-thons.

  2. As a trans woman, I find The Blacks offensive.

As a woman, I find Katie Halper offensive, especially when she fancies herself as a feminist.

And, as a human being, I find much else on WBAI offensive--not that they want to hear my opinion.
