Dear all,
I apologize for the late notice. Although I sent a previous e-mail announcing the extension of the drive, I am not sure it stated clearly that the drive extends until Sunday at 9:00 PM. Max Schmidt will be the last person pitching on this drive.

DeleteListening to the 5/26 Pacifica NFC R Paul reports 22 days in they were at 237K on a goal of 475K. That put them at 50% 22 days in with 7 days left (which I think has been extended). LA was behind and extending. Houston reached about 83% of goal. KPFA is at 93% of goal having raised 529K plus 15K since in soft pitching towards goal of 580K.

DeleteJeez, I snap on WBAI to hear "Cake" Davis babbling about diet. Yeah, I want diet advice from a woman the size of a sumo wrestler. She's simply one of the craziest people at the station. She reminds me of a woman I knew about 15 years ago, who was also into all the same mystical crap. This woman used to say how 2 slices of pizza and a can of Pepsi were a nutritious meal. She also didn't like going to Manhattan because she would hear all the voices of the people in the street in her head...

Yes, you must have missed it. Haskins rather casually announced that the winner of the watch was "Gwendolyn", making it sound like an afterthought. It should have been difficult for anyone with a moderate listening habit to miss this promotional opportunity, but—as you say—this is BAI. Your questioning if there was a watch at all is not far fetched.
