Here is an audio clip of Affiliates Director Ursula Ruedenberg's report, courtesy of Indigopirate, who had the Audacity™, as it were, to extract it for the encore it deserves. Note the prevailing civility, even when the obstacle called "The New" Pacifica is duly criticized—the current PNB could learn a lesson from these affiliates.
Ruedenberg, like Proffitt, seems to me an intelligent, capable, idealistic, practical, pragmatic, and dedicated person. Sadly, I doubt that will matter very much, moving forward, though I’d be happy to be proven wrong on that.
ReplyDeleteThe overwhelming majority of Pacifica seems to be literally childish and literally incompetent, incapable of the level of cooperation one finds, generally, even in very young children.
There’s opportunity evident here, in a network of nearly 200 truly community stations, yet I can’t imagine that opportunity being seized.
I credit Proffitt and Ruedenberg, though, for their efforts and their dedication – these are, I think, worthy of praise, even if they come to little or nothing.

Excellent observation, Indigo. I hope the PNB/LSB board bozos listen to this audio and either take the next exit or get on the right track.
