Considering that he is the General Manager of a New York City radio station, Berthold Reimers is remarkably reclusive and uncommunicative. Hired to stem WBAI's growing debt and increase its income, his background seemed perfect for the job. Here's, from Linkedin, is how he summed up his previous job in the health insurance business:
Now in his sixth year at WBAI, here is how he described his experience (and accomplishments) there three years ago:
The following link will bring up documents that don't quite reflect a stellar financial background. What else might be behind Door #1?
Judgements and liens
"What else might be behind Door #1?" One of those massaging balls Davis and the other crackpot are pushing that remind me of the Orgasmatron in Woody Allen;s Sleeper?

Looks like BeenTold is "a little short" from time to time when it comes to his bills. Note that he stated that he increased the throughput of money by 20% for BAI. He made no such commitment when it came to his personal affairs.
ReplyDeleteUnless I'm missing something. Like my tongue. Buried in my cheek was the last place I saw it.
I am against what you have done here and you have hit below the belt. I don't know what snoop site you have paid good money to to get this smut, but it should be taken down.

Not cool Chris. No need to get personal when there is plenty of valid work-related criticisms to make.
ReplyDeleteAs a lurker and reader of this very necessary WBAI blog for years and in all fairness, I do not feel Mr. Albertson has "hit below the belt". He has been balanced in his comments and responses, even to those posters he adamantly disagrees with. But in this particular case involving Betthold Reimers, "drastic times call for drastic measures".
DeleteAt least now I know that his condo/coop is on 5th Ave right across from the lake. At least someone is benefiting from WBAI.

Court records are public records. I imagine this reflects his mindset of you don't pay bills until someone sues you, and is relevant. I notice that WPFW gets sued regularly for not paying their rent. I believe I heard that they would be having to move their offices/studios as they have been evicted for non-payment.
ReplyDelete"Court records are public records. I imagine this reflects his mindset of you don't pay bills until someone sues you, and is relevant."
DeleteThank you for echoing my thoughts and pointing out the relevance.
Can you get the public records on Dred Scott Keyes???
ReplyDeleteIf the records are public, I would imagine that you could get them yourself. I don't subscribe to any of those "services".
DeleteUpdate on the Sidney Smith situation - it has been reported that Sally O'Brien was the person who called the police on Sidney Smith when child porn was found on a WBAI Computer.
ReplyDeleteSomeone did call the police, but they found nothing on the computer with which to charge anybody. No child porn was found. This was a case that pointed to Reimers' cowardice and the dysfunction of the WBAI "family".
DeleteThat said, this was an excuse to fire Sidney—I guess he is too intelligent for their comfort and, when it comes to technical ability, he can engineer rings around a clod like Haskins (who IDs himself as "Chief Engineer").
You have to love how the finger has been pointed at so many people so far. It's like musical snitch.
