A hang-up epidemic at WBAI?

They continue to use free speech as a carrot to solicit donations. but WBAI only allows speech to be aired when  it agrees with their twisted notion of being the station that followed Lew Hill's concept. It is no such thing these days. just a third-rate black station that hardly anybody listens to.

Recently, we have posted audio of Michael Haskins and Geoff Brady hanging up on callers who dared to speak the truth. Well, yesterday morning we heard such intolerance from Felipe Luciano, so I thought we ought to add that to our collection of WBAI lies and hypocrisies. Notice that Felipe says, "This is where media has to stand up and know history," How can he make such a statement on WBAI, a morally bankrupt radio station that has just wasted five week trying to sell potential donors a bogus version of world history! He says the caller is "deluded" and "crazy", adding that he assumes the man is "dark." These people are shameless hucksters—modern day snake oil salesmen.

Many years ago, when I met Felipe, he was hispanic—now he appears to be converting. It reminds me of that Jewish guy I met back in the day. His name was Jerry Rivers, but he became Geraldo Rivera. Hang-ups are a bitch!

Listen to Mr. Luciano.

  1. WBAI has always had a political line - just listen to how they will react to Castro's death. They are full of shit!

  2. Bruva Felipe: It was affirmative action, a white man's invention (a self-hating white man), that you took advantage of to get your diploma. Name me ONE other "Latino" country where you have that. You can't? That's insanity. I'm gonna hang up on your schwartze tuchus.

  3. When I heard this yesterday morning, my mind froze on "ten cents on the Dollar" because of the entire KPFA/Pacifica offer situation. I guess that must be fundamentally racist, too...

Anyway, you have to laugh at how Luciano puts words in the caller's mouth AND insults him. I wonder how big a POP his ego would make if you stuck a pin in him.

  4. Well I read Linda Perry's one-sided piece on that brutal dictator who destroyed so many lives and threatened her own country. What do you think Chris?

    1. I have not come across that one. but Linda works for WBAI, where there is but one side—a dark one. Linda also saw a halo over Steve Post's head—so much for her judgement of people.

    2. She's also married to Richard Barr- you better not say anything anti-Castro in that house.

    3. I just read the obit. Pretty disgusting stuff, really. Perry is just a left wing parrot and mental midget. I wonder if she'll do a McWiccan ritual for him, too.

The reactions and comments to Fidel's death are just showing how hypocritical the left really is, and the contempt they hold for human rights.

I have to agree with Trump on Fidel's death. He said what needed to be said.

Oh, there is a rumor that Fidel sneaked into the USA to do some gift shopping and was actually trampled to death during a human stampede at a department store on Black Friday then quickly shipped back to Havana.

    4. When I see her article which reads like it was written for Cuban state media on the same day that the NY Times talks about Venezuelans literally fleeing their country, it makes me wonder just what audience they're trying to reach. Whatever their plan is, its not working. There are not enough listeners. There is not enough money coming in and yet the staff seem oblivious. They insist they're not the problem and then they complain about getting pre-empted every two months because of fundraisers. They complain about the phones not working on the air. Alternative radio doesn't mean you ignore the rest of the world. It means offering fresh perspectives and differing points of view. It means not hanging up on callers who might disagree with you. It means not complaining about AP news wires and then quoting Cuban state media and it means asking questions of guests and actually letting them respond without interrupting them every five seconds.

    5. Happened to turn on Margaret Prescod for a few minutes today. Predictably, she continued WBAI's beatification of Fidel Castro.

  5. OK, so how many Cubans have come to the US? And how many Americans--aside from Joanne Chesimard/Assata Shakur--have moved to Cuba?

I have known a fair number of Cuban immigrants and was briefly married to someone whose parents fled the island. They are quick to point out that much of Castro's vaunted "education" system was simply indoctrination, and his equally-praised "healthcare system" consisted of quarantining sick people.

    3. Tell them to say hi to Assata Shakur and invite her to New York. Governor Christie will take care of all the arrangements.

  6. Off topic, but is Berthold Reimers still going to have his "Report to the few listeners" as scheduled for this Wednesday, November 30th? I'm asking because I've no promos concerning it nor any mention of it from Michael G. Haskins.

    1. I have wondered about that, too. Perhaps it will be a closed session, Reimers loves to keep his flights of fancy very hush hush. I do, however hope we get to hear his most recent lies.

    2. No matter what you hear or don't hear, I'd tune in Wednesday at 4:00PM to check out whether it's on or not. Personally, I think it will be conveniently forgotten.

    1. I'm listening to his nonsense. Let's face it, the "professor" is flip, but dishonest and firmly stuck in a groove from which only the dreaded TRUTH can free him. His commercial break, pushing "Mumia" and the opportunist who calls herself "afrika."

It will be good to see these phonies return to their respective holes, remembered only for running their scams and finishing off the remarkable concept Lew Hill had. They are venomous vandals.

  11. It's funny watching/listening to the loonies trying to idealize Fidel any way they can. The funniest part is noticing how they avoid mentioning freedom of speech and freedom of the press at all costs.

    1. Thanks. I heard Haskins promote that this morning, and I am ready for it. BTW, Reimers made a surprise appearance on Mike Sargent's Nightshift—they discussed politics with one of Sargent's regular women, Elena, who turns out to be a Trump supporter. At one point, Reimers got heated up and used the word "fucking." I will post it.

    2. Reimers got heated up? He was hot for the woman and told her what he wanted? Did he grab some pussy?
