I am happy to announce that I have found a way around the Blogger problem that prevented you from posting comments. It's a bit awkward and Google made no attempt to help, but we can at least communicate again.
I also located and posted the comments that were submitted during the period when I routinely cursed this otherwise useful software.
After spending the better part of my day trying to figure out why visitors are experiencing a problem when attempting to post a comment, I came across this, buried in the Blogger set-up:
The professional, courteous thing for Google to do would have been to e-mail an apology and notification to all blog owners. What they did instead is inexcusable. Let me apologize and hope that Google gets its act together ASAP. —Chris
prescod talking about slaves ... who could have predicted that . lol
ReplyDeleteSo today you had haskins and his racial garbage , amy doing half her show on race ,
law and disorder , whole show on race , Daniels , well....
But bai is race based . Why would anybody think that . haha
A politics based on racialising has its critics on 'the left'. Racialising is what creates the idea of there being races, & the alleged superiority of some is used to justify racist practices. The idea that all people of a certain skin shade have a common interest, overriding any of their differences, cuts against a class-based politics.
ReplyDeleteIn another thread I noted that WBAI Rising had a session at last week's Left Forum in NYC, & it's now on YouTube. By contrast there was a talk, 'The Panthers Can't Save Us Now', given by Cedric Johnson. He criticised the nostalgia, & presented an alternative, a class-based argument. His essay, of the same title, is freely available at Catalyst magazine: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOMySdkoMQA
